A few MSIE 7 users don't see the voting form

When opening the “voting booth” some MSIE 7 users get a message saying they need a “modern browser” to vote, where they should see a voting form with the lists of candidates.

This modern browser message is by design displayed in browsers that don’t understand frames.

We haven’t been able to reproduce this issue with MSIE 7. For those who experience the issue, please help us to understand:

1) where/how did you obtain a copy of Internet Explorer 7? was it a Microsoft Windows update or did it come with a third-party installer? e.g. AOL or Earthlink

2) do you have any add-ons in your IE7 installation? e.g. Google search bar, Yahoo toolbar

3) do you have any type of program installed in your computer that filters or otherwise limits your browsing activities? e.g. Norton Internet Security with Ad blocker

4) does this ‘“modern browser…” message appear only at Pajamas Media (http://pajamasmedia.com) or also in other precincts?

wordpress.com users cannot insert JavaScript

The widget code requires JavaScript to create and manage the voting booth, but all usage of JavaScript is blocked on blogs hosted by wordpress.com.
